Subject to the conditions set out below, Express Bi Folds Direct offers the following guarantees:
1.1 Aluminium Products Aluminium windows, door panels and appropriate framing, roof lights and lantern roof lights are guaranteed against distorting and joint failure for 10 years from the date of delivery.
1.2 Glass Glass sealed units are guaranteed against failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes) for 10 years from the date of delivery (except glass units with Uni-blinds, see clause 1.5). This guarantee does not cover glass breakage after delivery.
1.2.1 Glass sealed units are not covered by nickel sulphide inclusions and damages as a result.
1.2.2 We follow guidelines set out by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) for quality and clarity on glass and these will be adhered to when inspecting the quality of our glass units.
1.3 Powder coating Our powder coated products excluding thermal breaks, are guaranteed for a 10-year period for paintwork, against fading or corrosion. We follow the guidelines set out by Qualicoat (14th edition) for the quality of our powder coating.
1.3.1 Any location within 0.5 miles from the sea is covered by a 5-year powder coating guarantee only.
1.4 Locks and Hinges Locking mechanisms and hinges, and other moving parts, are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery. Cosmetic deterioration of handles, letter plates, etc. due to normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty.
1.5 Uni-blinds Uni-blinds are guaranteed against defects for a period of 5 years from installation. Any glass units that contain Uni-blinds will only be subject to a 5-year guarantee and the glass guarantee will be superseded by the Uni-blind guarantee.
2.1 All warranty claims should be notified to us in writing at the address shown on our website [email protected], you should do so promptly and in any event within 14 days of noticing the failure.
2.2 All warranties and guarantees are given subject to the following conditions:
2.2.1 You must have paid the Price in full;
2.2.2 In respect of the warranties at 1.1, 1.2 and 1.4, the goods must have been installed in a professional manner and the installer must have followed the manufacturer’s recommendations;
2.2.3 You must have used and maintained the goods in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and not altered the goods.
2.2.4 We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect in the goods arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by you.
2.2.5 We shall be under no liability in respect of minor imperfections or cosmetic deterioration, caused by normal wear and tear, or environmental factors.
2.2.6 Advice should be sought before attempting to attach fixtures and fittings to or around products supplied, such as a home alarm.
3.1 This guarantee is transferable to new owners of the goods at a cost as per our terms & conditions.

Any required visits and works completed by Express Bi-Folds Direct will be chargeable, if deemed the fault of the customer or the works associated with the installation. This charge will be dependent on rectifying the problem and the time associated with completing the works, as per our terms and conditions.
All guarantees are given in good faith. However, if it is deemed after a visit from a company representative that our product has been misused, tampered or damaged in any way, we will render the guarantee null and void, leaving any remedial work to be carried out an arranged fee, which shall be payable before any work commences.
The guarantee will not be operational unless the company has received payment in full.
Any failure of materials due to faulty workmanship under the terms of this guarantee will be repaired or replaced at Express Bi-Folds Direct Ltd sole discretion.
Excludes consequential loss.
This guarantee is not freely transferable.
