The ISOQAR is an accredited certification body; this work is regulated by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service – the sole national accreditation body recognised by government. The external audit looked at all aspects of our operations from quality, environmental, health and safety and information security. The audit took place in both of our manufacturing facilities, as well as installations on site and a thorough inspection of our entire job files from initial quotations through to after sales care. Established in 1989, Secured by Design (SBD) is the title for a group of national police projects focusing on the design and security for new and refurbished homes, commercial premises and car parks as well as the acknowledgement of quality security products and crime prevention projects. It supports the principles of ‘designing out crime’ through physical security and processes.
Secured by Design works with the industry and test houses to create high level security standards, responding to trends in crime, and has given input on several key standards. The principles of the scheme have been proven to reduce the risk of crime and the fear of crime.
Secured by Design status is restricted to companies or products that have been successfully tested to the high standards set by Secured by Design and meet Police Preferred Specification. Secured by Design member company status is awarded to companies producing security products that pass standards and tests nominated by the police service. The standards and related tests must demonstrate the product effectiveness in preventing or reducing crime, usually by resistance to physical attack. We have gone through security testing with all our products and have begun the process of putting them through the SBD accreditation process, so far, our XP View bi-folding door, XP Glide S sliding door and our entire range of front doors are all SBD certified, with more of our bespoke products soon to follow.

From July 2013 the Construction Products Regulation made it mandatory in the UK for building products to comply with CE Marking requirements. Due to our ISO accreditations and systematic production process our products were already CE compliant however as a result of the new legislation our products all need to be labelled and CE Marked also.
CE Marking enables us to provide a certificate of compliance with harmonised European standards, by doing so we are demonstrating that we operate with appropriate production procedures and policies, which allows us to provide CE marking approval on all of our products and to provide relevant product test reports as and when requested.
Today we employ over 280 members of staff nationwide, and boast a 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility, but it started as a father and son with a focus on high quality crafted doors. We might be much larger now, but the focus has always remained the same.
