We offer industry leading products and although the maintenance required is minimal it is important that they are properly maintained on a regular basis & operated correctly.
Keep all mechanical moving parts lubricated regularly. This includes hinges, multipoint locks, handles, the steel rollers in the bottom track and guide runners in the top track.
Lubricate using silicone spray or grease and wipe away any excess with a non-abrasive cloth, do not use WD40.
We also recommend that you fully open your doors at least once a month. This ensures all moving parts are lubricated and prevents any settlement within the products over the winter months.
You can purchase silicone spray by clicking here.
Alternatively you can purchase our full maintenance pack or three cans of glass cleaner here.
Clear the doors bottom tracks of any debris and do not allow debris to build up in the track as this will affect the operation of the door. A build-up of debris can lead to a block in the drainage, causing water to come into the property. Use a small brush to loosen any debris from the track and use a vacuum cleaner with a thin attachment to collect.
Use a light, soapy solution and a non-abrasive cloth to wipe dirt from the windows and doors. Avoid using an abrasive cloth such as a scouring pad as the windows and doors could scratch. Do not use washing up liquid, solvent based cleaning products or white spirit. In salt water environments, the external surface of the windows and doors should be washed down with fresh water on a weekly basis as it is common for salt deposits to build up.
To keep gasket seals clean use a light, soapy solution and non-abrasive cloth to gently clean the seals & do not use solvent-based cleaning products.

Remember to always be careful not to trap your fingers in the doors. Only use the handle to open and lock the door in place. Limit using the handle to slide the door and instead use the motion of the door panel to control its operation at all times. Ensure the doors do not slam into the side jam when sliding closed.
The XP Glide R is simple to operate. Rotating the handle lifts the door panel up & down so it is effortless to slide but also allows you to lock the door in an open position.
